Turn it on at the end of the day and the room changes with it. From across the room, it feels like a small house glowing in the distance.
Cerces was designed for the quieter part of the evening, when the bright lights are turned off and the room begins to settle. Its rugged surface is carved and charred by hand, then finished with a subtle sheen that feels unexpectedly smooth to the touch. During the day, it rests as a dark sculptural object. At night, warm light moves through its narrow opening with the irregular glow of a fireplace.
Carved by hand and
marked by fire
Each Cerces sculpture is individually shaped by hand before the wood is charred to deepen its texture and give the surface an aged, weathered character. A hand-applied finish adds a restrained sheen, preserving the rugged appearance while leaving the object smooth enough to hold and handle.
The narrow horizontal opening is carefully proportioned to stretch the sculpture visually and frame the light within. A removable base is held in place with embedded earth magnets, allowing access to the battery compartment without interrupting the object’s continuous form.

How does made-to-order furniture work?
Each piece is built after your order is placed rather than kept in stock. This allows the furniture to be made specifically for you and reduces unnecessary production.
Can I customize the size or finish?
Yes. Most pieces can be adjusted in size, wood species, finish, hardware, or storage layout. Larger changes may be treated as a custom commission and priced separately.
How long does it take to receive a piece?
Lead times vary depending on the piece and the current production schedule. Most made-to-order furniture takes several weeks to complete. You will receive an estimated timeline before placing your order.
Do you require a deposit?
The price shown on the page at time of checkout is the full price of the piece. It is paid in full before the work start.
Do you offer delivery?
Yes. Local delivery can be arranged depending on your location and the size of the piece. Delivery costs are calculated separately and confirmed before your order is finalized.
